Basic Qaida Course

Noorani Qaida Lesson 1 : The first chapter of Noorani Qaida is consisting of 29 letters (ArabicNoorani Qaida-Page 2 Alphabets). All of them are single letters and also known as Huroof.  We, should must indicate that it is one of the most important lesson. Therefore, we are focusing with due care on the beginner’s student for identification and right pronunciation of these letters. If the student at this stage perfectly grips the Arabic letters, we are assuring, as he or she will understand the latter chapters quickly.

Noorani Qaida Lesson 2: This chapter is bit tricky for students because it is consisting of joint letters or compound letters which is also known as Murakkabat.  After completing this lesson, students are able to understand the different shapes of respective letter. Though, during reading of these letters student will read each word separately.

Noorani Qaida - Page 6Qaida Noorania Lesson 3: After completing the chapter 2, student will able to identify the joint words. In this lesson, there are 14 abbreviated words which are known as Muqatta’at. These are disjoining and disconnected letters. Moreover, 29 Surahs out of 114 in Quran Kareem starts with words Muqatta’at just after Bismillah. These special words exist in the Quran Kareem, so here focusing its pronunciation, each letter is read separately with long and prolong. Special attention requires on this chapter.

Qaida Noorania Lesson 4: This lesson is consisting of Movements which are also known as Harkaat. There are three kinds of movements i.e  Fatha, kasra and Dummah. These are short vowels in Arabic Language. Kids will learn these symbols and their pronunciation. So common formula of these vowels, neither it read prolong nor read with it jerk.

Qaida Noorania Lesson 5: When the student reach at this stage, he or her already well aware about the identification of the letters. In this lesson, student will learn double Fatha, Double Kasra and Double Dummah which is known as Nunation or Tanween. The proper sounds and pronunciations of these symbols and signs will learn student.

Noorani Qaida - Page 10Madani Qaida Lesson 6: It is a lesson which provides an opportunity to the student to make exercise of Movements and Nunation (Harkaat and Tanween). Now, students have to connect letters with each other in accordance with tajweed rules and needs to make practice. This stage sometime a bit difficult for students for connecting of letters but after some excise and practice, they become familiar with connectivity of letters.

Madani Qaida Lesson 7:  Student will learn in this chapter about standing fatha, stading kasra and standing Dummah (tips: these letters to pronounce prolong)

Madani Qaida Lesson 8: In this chapter, student will learn about Huroof Madd’ah o Leen letters. These are soft letters and long vowel sigs so these needs to prolong equal to one Alif or one or two seconds.

Madani Qaida Lesson 9: In this chapter, student will exercise of Movements, Fatha, Karsa, Dummah, Madd’ah o leen and Tanween letters. This lesson will give a strong grip to the student to understand the difficult words to pronounce. Moreover, it is path to move forward to some more complex exercises.

Madani Qaida Lesson 10:  Student will learn about Sakoon and Jazm. Students will identify Jazm and learn the proper pronunciations. The letter which has Jazm sign needs to connect with previous letter and pronounce it combine.

Madani Qaida Lesson 11: In this chapter, student will exercise the Sakoon and Jazm. This makes students more confident about understanding of basics of Noorani Qaida learning.

Noorani Qaida Lesson 12: Tashdeed sign  (duplication sign) will identify and learn in this chapter. The Tashdeed sign will pronounce two times by connecting the previous letter.  Moreover, these words read with strong voice.

 Exercise Course – Arabic Qaida

Madani Qaida Lesson 13: Student will make exercise of Tashdeed sign with some difficult and Noorani Qaida - Page 26complicated words (for the beginners). After some due consideration and exercising, student will understand the pronunciations of these words which have such signs and symbols.

Madani Qaida Lesson 14: At this stage, students almost become familiar with letters and signs. However, in this chapter, we make practice of Tashdeed with Sakoon or Jazm.

Madani Qaida Lesson 15: Exercise of Tashdeed withTashdeed means two duplication signs. Student will learn these sign and pronunciation in this chapter.

Madani Qaida Lesson 16: Tashdeed with Huroof Madd’ah is also known as exercise of Tashdeed or duplication after long vowel. This exercise surely makes the student perfect to go ahead of his or her journey.

Note: Ending Exercises for practice and revise the Noorani Qaida again in order to make the student perfect in identification of letters, different signs and correct pronunciation.

 How to Pronounce Arabic Letters with Correct Makhrij?

  • Meaning of Makhrij: Makhrij is basically the origin to pronounce Arabic letters. There are total 5 areas of the throat and mouth where from these 29 letters come out with their origin pronunciation.
  • There are 3 letters which can pronounce with the empty space in the mouth and these are ALIF, WOW, YA, especially when they are in Maddah Prolonging condition. From the throat there are 6 letters which will come out. Some are come from the tongue. With the help of  two lips and from the Nasal Passage.
